Stormwater Detention & Infiltration

Both StormTech® chambers and LandMax® stormwater management system provide design flexibility and a 75-year minimum service life while meeting all ASTM and ASHTA requirements.

A stormwater detention system slows and temporarily holds stormwater runoff so that it can be released into the environment at a controlled rate. A stormwater infiltration system, on the other hand, allows stormwater to percolate into the ground. Effective stormwater management can include detention, infiltration, and re-use, or a combination of all. ADS products that are specially designed to facilitate detention and infiltration include StormTech® chambers and LandMax® stormwater management system.

Applications & Benefits

Increasingly stringent regulations and escalating land values require land developers to take extra care in managing stormwater runoff. ADS stormwater detention and infiltration products are engineered to provide durable long-term solutions for stormwater runoff on any size project or water management situation. With these products, any commercial, municipal, industrial, recreational or residential development can have additional space that would otherwise require a retention pond.

StormTech® chambers have a uniquely flexible design that fits very tight footprints and maximizes land usage. StormTech® chambers are designed primarily to be used under parking lots, roadways, and heavy earth loads for commercial, turf and municipal applications. The system offers developers a cost-effective underground system that:

  • Fits on nearly all sites, around utilities, natural or man-made structures, and any other limiting boundaries
  • Nests and stacks neatly for efficient transport and storage
  • Requires fewer manholes and fewer costly assemblies
  • Performs as designed for a minimum 75-year service life

LandMax® stormwater pipe systems are an ideal solution for efficient and effective subsurface stormwater retention. The flexible and durable design:

  • Allows easy handling and fast assembly
  • Provides high strength without excessive weight for cost-effective installation
  • Increases usable land by providing space for parking lots, playgrounds and other facilities to be built on top
  • Decreases the safety risks and added costs associated with open ponds.
  • Performs as designed for a minimum 75-year service life
